Prof. Dr. Dymitr Ibriszimow
 is a member of FI's Advisory Board. The renowned linguist (African linguistics) is the current Dean of the Bayreuth International Graduate School of African Studies (BIGSAS), University of Bayreuth, Germany. Since 1999, he has been the Chair of African Studies II (African languages beyond Niger-Congo) at the University of Bayreuth. With a geographical area of interest in North and West Africa, Prof. Dr. Ibriszimow's research interests include Chadic, Berber, Afro-Asiatic, comparative, historical linguistics, cognitive semantics, ethno-linguistics, linguistic geography, and history of the people of the Lake Chad basin. Farafina Institute taps into his rich experiences, knowledge, and skills on Africa to continue to provide excellent research services on Africa. He joins our team of expert advisors to add diversity to the Institute's belief in multipronged approaches to addressing challenges.
