Digital technology offers great potential to development in Africa. Innovative local solutions can contribute to economic growth, provide better and affordable services and create inclusive wealth. What are the prerequisites to tap the full potential? Which are the main obstacles? Do you have innovative ideas to overcome these? What can governments do to create an ICT-friendly environment? What role can development cooperation play? These are questions that will be at the core of the discussion on May 11, 2015 in Berlin. Taking place just after the re:publica the event will bring together international ICT-experts, government officials, academia and representatives from NGOs to discuss fields of action for German development cooperation to make a valid contribution and enable the ICT-market as driver to sustainable development in Africa.

FI's Executive Director Dr. kocra L. Assoua took part in this importnat expert's meeting organized by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ)
