Founded in 2012 as a think-tank and research institute by a group of African and European scholars, Farafina Institute (FI) conducts policy-relevant research and implements sustainable projects on issues of wellbeing and governance in Africa and Europe.
FI positions itself as an international platform for reflection, dialogue, exchange, and action on Africa. FI uses African-centered and participatory methods aimed at creating empowerment, ownership, and sustainability. We hold the conviction that working directly with communities is indispensable for partnerships for sustainable and peaceful societies.
Farafina Institute’s experts and researchers come with diverse expertise in research, project formulation, and project implementation. All our researchers and experts are keen on following objective, high standard methodologies and analysis that generate best outcomes. We make these skills available to any institution or individual for high quality research and project results.
Are you an African refugee living in Germany and interested in participating in VOIFUGEE – a project developed by young refugees from African countries together with Farafina Institute? We are still accepting applications for VOIFUGEE. Please find more information in the attached document and the project page.
