The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC) has commissioned a study to support the interim evaluation of the European Education Area (EEA). The study is implemented by the PPMI-Verian consortium with Farafina Institute in charge of the German case study.
To build more resilient and inclusive education and training systems in Europe and help address the common challenges that they face, the strategic framework for European cooperation in education and training was put in place. This framework was outlined in the Council Resolution of February 2021 and has an overarching objective of building the European Education Area.
European cooperation to build the European Education Area focuses on:
improving quality, equity, inclusion and success for all,
making lifelong learning and mobility a reality for all,
supporting the green and digital transitions in and through education and training,
enhancing competences and motivation in the education profession,
strengthening European higher education.
The overall objective of the study is to assess the effectiveness, efficiency, coherence, added value and relevance of the European cooperation in education and training towards the European Education Area.
